A 30-year-old actor, who makes video flicks on social media, was arrested for allegedly following Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's convoy at the Bandra Worli Sea Link in Mumbai apparently to avoid paying toll for his car, a police official said on Wednesday. According to the Bandra police station official, the man, identified as Shubam Kumar, who was in the car along with his family members, on Monday followed the CM's convoy at the sea link toll plaza after it entered the VIP lane (which is toll-free) despite an on-duty traffic constable signalling him to stop.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) opposed the grant of interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Supreme Court of India. Hisar, Haryana: On three independent MLAs withdrawing support from Haryana govt, JJP leader Dushyant Chautala says, "We never faced such a situation when we were in Govt with Manohar Lal Khattar that someone was withdrawing their support. Them (independent MLAs) joining Congress today shows how the BJP has weakened...According to the current scenario, if steps are taken to corner the Govt during the elections, we will think about giving them (Congress) support from outside. Now Congress will have to decide if they are going to take any step to corner the current BJP Govt or not..." 

Union Minister and Telangana BJP State President G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday expressed confidence in winning the maximum seats in the state and said that the people have realised that the Congress is doing false campaigns.

Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Wednesday said "all the candidates of Sharad Pawar's party are losing".

According to Chief Electoral Officer, Bihar, polling will take place on May 10 at booth numbers 182 and 183, falling under Beldaur assembly segment.
