Kriti Sanon talks about preferring documentaries over serious films

Kriti Sanon is currently busy promoting her next film, titled Housefull 4, at various occasions. The latest instalment of the Housefull franchise stars actors like Akshay Kumar, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Sanon, Chunky Panday, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, and Riteish Deshmukh, among others. The film is directed by Farhad Samji, who had also co-directed the last Housefull film. The film is directed by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The plot of the film is said to revolve around the concept of reincarnation. The film will hit theatres on October 25, 2019.
Kriti talks about her love for documentaries
Kriti Sanon, in a recent interview with a leading newspaper, spoke about her upcoming film Housefull 4 and her outlook on slapstick comedies. In the interview, she mentioned that she enjoys "brainless, mad-crack comedies" as long as they are well done. She also spoke about not being a fan of preachy films. She said she is more inclined towards films that put the serious message forward in a light, fun manner, otherwise, she would rather watch a documentary. The actor also spoke about her favourite comedy film, which seems to be the Aamir Khan and Salman Khan-starrer, Andaz Apna Apna. According to her, the film is evergreen and can be watched countless times. When talking about working with experienced actors such as Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Panday, and Johnny Lever, the actor said that matching up to their level was impossible but she got to learn a lot. The actor seemed delighted about sharing the screen with the “pros”.
Kriti Sanon to be seen in a period film
Kriti Sanon will be a part of Ashutosh Gowariker’s next, titled Panipat. The film is based on the third battle of Panipat which happened between the Marathas and the King of Afghanistan. The film stars actors like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, and Zeenat Aman in pivotal roles. The film has been jointly produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. The film is expected to hit the theatres on December 6, 2019.
