Al-Qaeda's new modus operandi

Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) is "ideologically inclined" to carry out attacks in the country but its capability of doing so is low and is relatively isolated owing to increased security measures taken by the armed forces in the region, a UN report said.

India has been Al-Qaeda's target for a long time now. According to an Indian Intelligence report, the terror group's modus operandi has changed. Al-Qaeda now aims to strike inside India via Bangladesh after consolidating its presence there. Moreover, with Pakistan ISI's help, the first steps towards ensuring a larger footprint in Bangladesh for radical organisations are being taken.
