IND vs WI 2nd T20I: The Indian cricket team received a reality check from West Indies in the first T20I as the Hardik Pandya-led side lost the match by four runs. Top names like Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik, and Sanju Samson failed to perform as per their name, which was the major reason behind Team India's loss.

Indian cricket team leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is currently the highest wicket-taker for the team in T20Is. Chahal has taken 93 wickets from 76 T20I matches and is on the brink to achieve 100 wickets in the shorter format. The Indian cricket team leg spinner needs just seven wickets to achieve the landmark and he still has four T20Is in hand. Chahal will become the second Indian and the first player from the men's team to achieve this milestone. Deepti Sharma was the first Indian player to take 100 wickets in the T20I format.

After losing against West Indies in a close encounter in Tarouba, the Hardik Pandya-led side will aim to make a comeback in the series. The Providence Stadium in Guyana will host the second T20I of the five-match series between Team India and the Men in Maroon. The Indian team has to work on many aspects which includes the selection of the correct batting order and also the utilisation of the bowling resources. Hardik Pandya used a total of six bowlers in the first T20I match wherein only three bowlers completed their quota of four overs whereas, Yuzvendra Chahal was only given three overs despite being the most effective Indian bowler in the match.
