The Buckingham Palace announced on November 13 that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be attending the Christmas celebrations at the Royal Household. Even though the statement did not specify where Prince Harry and former 'Suits' star will be heading on December 25. However, reportedly they are planning to visit Los Angeles which is Duchess' hometown. The annual festivities take place at Sandringham which includes a public walk to the church on the morning of Christmas with The Queen along with the entire Royal Family. However, this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to take a break from Royal responsibility.

Buckingham Palace said, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month. Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland. This decision is in line with the precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen”.
