Thereafter, Gabbard released a video in which she took the attack on US President Trump a step further. She alleged that the US President had offered the services of the US military to Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. The Democratic Presidential candidate described Salman as the "dictator of the Islamist Kingdom of Saudi Arabia". Reiterating that she had never used hateful rhetoric against President Trump and his family, she maintained that his act was a "betrayal" of the Armed Forces. She described his action as "disgraceful" and opined that he was unfit to serve as the Commander-in-Chief.

The significance of the oath

Gabbard noted that as a member of the US Congress and a soldier, she and many others had taken an oath to protect the people and the Constitution of the US. She mentioned that there was no clause in the Constitution which allowed President Trump to declare war without the express consent of the US Congress. Thereafter, she reiterated that his words and actions were a "betrayal" of the American people and the Constitution.
