Democratic vice presidential nominee Senator Kamala Harris held a virtual town hall meeting with supporters in North Carolina on Thursday.

Harris said she was originally scheduled to be in Asheville but changed her plans after two people associated with the campaign tested positive for the coronavirus.

Harris said she had tested negative and was well, but was acting out of caution.

She said she was "honored" to be on the Democratic ticket with Biden and praised his work on the Affordable Care Act with former president Barack Obama.

She also said President Donald Trump's administration was trying to overturn the act because he had a "weird obsession with trying to get rid of anything that Barack Obama and Joe Biden created."
