At Rs 2.25 crore, Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 debuts in India, first electric SUV from Maybach

First EV SUV from Maybach: Mercedes-Benz India, India’s leading luxury auto manufacturer has launched the EQS 680 Maybach SUV, at Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom) in India. It is the first all-electric SUV from the Maybach in India. The EQS 680 Maybach offers a 56-inch MBUX hyperscreen, rear-axle steering wheel, a range of 611 km, and airmatic suspension with adaptive damping. The rear passengers are offered features such as a massage function, twin 11.6-inch displays with MBUX system, four-zone climate control, and 64 colours for customisable ambient lighting.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 exteriors:

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 boasts a luxurious exterior with the Mercedes star prominently on the hood, a black panel illustrated with vertical chrome accents, and an integrated radar sensor panel for the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions. The all-digital LED headlights offered on the EQS 680 Maybach have great illumination at night, with a throw of up to 500m.

The EQS 680 is 5125 mm long, 2034 mm wide, and 1721 mm in height. It is equipped with 21 or 22-inch Maybach alloy wheels and offers flush-door handles for better aerodynamics. The window line and the door garnish are completely chrome, boasting a luxury aesthetic. There is a Maybach emblem on the D-pillar o, every Maybach model.

At the rear, the connected LED taillamps on the EQS 680 have welcome and goodbye functions. The chrome accents on the tailgate enhance the luxury aesthetics.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 interiors:

On stepping inside the EQS 680 Maybach, the interiors of the SUV are loaded with features and luxury. For starters, the EQS 680 is equipped with a 56-inch MBUX hyperscreen, a 15-speaker Burmester sound system along ventilated and heated front seats. There is a dedicated button for the automatic opening and closing of doors in the EQS 680.

Mercedes has gone ahead and offered a more sustainable interior of the EQS 680. For the rear passengers, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 has a separate 11.6-inch screen with an MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment package, along with a rear tablet for remote control and MBUX Interior Assist for gesture-based functions.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 powertrain:

Talking about the powertrain and the range of the EQS 680 Maybach, it has ample power and range on offer. There is a 484 kW motor that powers the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 and produces 950 Nm torque with a WLTP range of 611 km on a single charge. The EQS 680 Maybach has four driving modes as well. The 0-100 km/h time of the EQS 680 is 4.4 seconds.

Since the charging infrastructure is improving, using a 200 kW DC fast charger, it can go from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 31 minutes.

To enhance the cabin experience of the passengers and the rear-seat occupants, the EQS 680 is offered with airmatic air suspension with continuous adaptive damping which continuously adapts to the road conditions and maintains the ride quality. Since it is a long SUV, making a U-Turn can be quite cumbersome, so there is a rear-axle steering wheel as well to reduce the turning radius of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680.
