BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GSA launched at Rs 13.75 lakh in India

Since the F 850 GS and F 850 GSA was on sale for several years, BMW Motorrad launched F 900 GS and F 900 GSA at Rs 13.75 lakh and Rs 14.75 lakh respectively.

BMW F 850 GS F 850 GSA successor: BMW Motorrad launched the F 900 GS and the F 900 GSA in India at Rs 13.75 lakh and Rs 14.75 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Since the F 850 GS and the F 850 GSA have been on sale for several years, the F 900 GS and the F 900 GSA have replaced the F 850 GS and F 850 GSA. The new F 900 GS and F 900 GSA have a more powerful engine and are rivals against the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally, Honda XL7450 Transalp, Ducati DesertX, and Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE.

BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GSA price:

The price of the F 900 GS starts at Rs 13.75 lakh and the F 900 GSA has a price tag of Rs 14.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The F 900 GSA is a bulkier motorcycle and is adventurer tourer aesthetics.

 

BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GSA design:

The design of the F 900 GS has a similar design to the headlights as the BMW G 310 R. Both bikes come with Showa up-side down forks with 230 mm travel and a mono-shock suspension at the rear with 215 mm travel. The F 900 GS comes with a fully adjustable upside-down fork and mono-shock. On the other hand, the F 900 GS Adventure comes with an electronically adjustable suspension both for the front and rear.

 

BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GSA highlights:

The F 900 GS comes with a smaller fuel tank having a capacity of 14.5-litre while the F 900 GS Adventure comes with a 23-litre fuel tank. The F 900 GSA is bigger in dimensions, and the bigger bodywork fairing, and road-biased tyres, weigh 246 kg. On the other hand, the F 900 GS is 27 kg lighter than the F 900 GSA and is quite slimmer as compared not only to the F 900 GSA but also to other motorcycles in its segment. The F 900 GS weighs 219 kg.


BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GSA engine performance:

The engine on the F 900 GS and F 900 GSA has been updated. Now, both the BMW F 900 GS and the BMW F 900 GSA come with a new 895cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled petrol engine, which makes 105 BHP and 93 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox, and comes with a bi-directional quick shifter. This new engine has resulted in a gain in power and torque. The power has increased by 10 BHP and the torque by 1 Nm as compared to the previous engine specifications.

The F 900 GS and F 900 GSA comes with a comprehensive list of features. Both motorcycles come with ABS, cornering ABS, traction control system, various riding modes, and a 6.5-inch TFT screen.
