BMW M4 CS launched in India at Rs 1.89 crore

BMW M4 CS (Competition Sport) has finally arrived in India, bringing several upgres over BMW M4 Competition, such as more engine power that allows car to sprint from 0 to 100kph in 3.4 seconds. That is 0.1 seconds faster than speed acceleration of BMW M4 Competition. Launched as first CS model, M4 CS can offer a maximum speed of 302kph, making it fastest M4 version in India.

M4 CS starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.89 crore, which is roughly Rs 36 lakh more than price of M4 Competition. Its colour options are Riviera Blue and Frozen and Isle of Man Green Metallic.

BMW M4 CS features

As most hardcore M4 variant, BMW M4 CS has a tweaked chassis and a lighter weight. It is 20kg lighter than M4 Competition, offering better agility during acceleration. M4 CS has lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels on front and 20-inch wheels at back, while suspension has been upgred for better handling. It uses M compound brakes, claimed to deliver better braking power than its n-sport counterpart. However, customers have option to go for carbon ceramic brakes for even better braking precision.

While M4 CS uses same 3-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine as M4 Competition, it has been upgred to produce 558 PS and 650Nm to offer an acceleration from 0 to 100 kph in 3.4 seconds. engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Design-wise, M4 CS has discernible cosmetic changes, including a frameless kidney grille and alloy wheels in a bronze hue. It also has LED DRLs in yellow colour. interiors include a flat-bottom steering wheel with an Alcantara wrap. It has several M-specific buttons, while displays w use M-specific graphics. re is one 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display with a hes-up display (HUD). car features a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, drive modes, multiple airbags, automatic helamps, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and ABS with EBD.
