Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has introduced the 2024 CB300F Flex-fuel, marking the arrival of India’s first 300cc flex-fuel bike. Priced at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new model can run on E85 fuel, which is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol. This launch supports India’s move towards greener energy solutions in the automotive sector.

2024 Honda CB300F Flex-fuel Price & Rivals

The 2024 Honda CB300F Flex-fuel is available for Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), matching the price of its petrol-only variant. The bike comes in two colors: Sports Red and Mat Axis Grey Metallic. Bookings are now open at Honda Big Wing dealerships across India.

Although the CB300F Flex-fuel has no direct competition in the 250-300cc flex-fuel segment, it goes up against 300cc bikes like the Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM Duke 250, and Honda’s own CB300F and CB300R. Other alternatives include the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and Royal Enfield Classic 350.

2024 Honda CB300F Flex-fuel Engine & Performance

The 2024 CB300F Flex-fuel is powered by a 293.52cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is compatible with E85 fuel. It delivers 24.8PS at 7,500rpm and 25.9Nm at 5,500rpm, slightly outperforming the standard CB300F. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

New Features

One standout feature of the bike is the ‘Intelligent Ethanol Indicator’, alerting riders when ethanol content in the fuel exceeds 85 percent. This ensures a smooth flex-fuel experience.

Design & Unchanged Elements

The new CB300F Flex-fuel retains the same sleek and sharp design language as the petrol-powered model. It includes features like an LCD instrument console, traction control, and an all-LED lighting setup. The bike’s suspension system consists of a gold-finished inverted fork and a five-step adjustable monoshock, along with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Honda's Vision for a Greener Future

Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, highlighted Honda’s long-term goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. He said, “At Honda, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality for all our products and corporate activities by 2050... The launch of the new CB300F flex-fuel reinforces our commitment to support the Government of India’s Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program and to contribute towards a cleaner, greener future.”

With its introduction of the 2024 CB300F Flex-fuel, Honda is paving the way for environmentally friendly motorcycles in India, providing consumers with a viable alternative to traditional petrol-powered bikes.
