Hyundai Motor India sales grew by 2% YoY, records 70,078 units in October 2024

Hyundai sales in October: Hyundai Motor India has reported that the company registered an increase of 2 per cent in total sales. Hyundai Motor India recorded total sales of 70,078 units in October. The company recorded sales of 68,728 units in October 2023.
"We witnessed a strong demand for our SUV portfolio during the festive period, leading to our highest-ever monthly SUV sales at 37,902 units, including the highest-ever monthly domestic sales of the Hyundai CRETA at 17,497 units," HMIL Chief Operating Officer, Tarun Garg said.

SUVs remain a cornerstone of the company's lineup, representing 68.2 per cent of the total monthly sales in October 2024, with similar penetration in urban as well as rural markets, he added.
Hyundai Motor India Domestic sales:
The domestic sales of Hyundai Motor India grew marginally. The auto manufacturer recorded total sales of 55,568 units in October 2024. The automaker recorded a growth of 0.79 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The newly listed firm said in a regulatory filing that as compared to October 2023 Hyundai recorded a growth of 440 units and registered 55,128 units in the same month the previous year. The SUV segment recorded sales of 37,092 units, having a major contribution from the Creta.

Hyundai Motor India Exports:
Hyundai Motor India’s exports surged and recorded a growth of 6.7 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Hyundai Motor India recorded total exports of 14,510 units in October 2024 as compared to 13,600 units in October 2023, it added.
Hyundai Motor India CNG sales:
The alternate fuel segment, which is the CNG segment also recorded a positive momentum. The sales of CNG vehicles were recorded at 8,261 units in October 2024. The sales of the CNG segment contributed to 14.9 per cent of the total domestic sales in October 2024. Hyundai Motor India recently introduced dual-cylinder technology in the Exter and Grand i10 Nios.
