Maruti Brezza to Hyundai Venue: Top 5 Sub-4m Compact SUVs with highest sales in September 2024

Sub-4m compact SUV sales: The sub-4m compact SUV segment recorded an overall surge in demand from customers in September 2024. The sub-4m compact SUVs consist of vehicles that have lengths under four meters and have an engine capacity of 1.5-litre. These SUVs offer decent engine performance, features, and SUV presence. As per the data from SIAM, the top position is bagged by the Maruti Brezza, followed by its sibling Fronx and other SUVs in its segment. Let us look at the top five sub-4m compact SUVs with the highest sales in September 2024: 

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: 

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured the first position in the sales chart of the sub-4m compact SUVs in India. Brezza recorded total sales of 15,322 units in September, registering a growth of 2.14 per cent on a year-on-year basis. On the other hand, Brezza recorded a decline of 20.16 per cent on a month-on-month basis. 

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: 

The second position on the list is secured by Brezza's sibling, Fronx. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx recorded total sales of 13,784 units in September 2024 and witnessed a growth of 20.33 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Fronx registered a surge on the month-on-month as well of 11.28 per cent as compared to August 2024. 

Tata Nexon: 

The Tata Nexon secured the third position on the sales chart and recorded total sales of 11,470 units in September 2024. Nexon recorded a decline of 25.15 per cent as compared to September 2023. The declined continued and registered 6.66 per cent fall on a month-on-month basis. 

Kia Sonet:

The Kia Sonet secured the fourth position on the sales chart of sub-4m compact SUV sales in September 2024. Sonet recorded total sales of 10,335 units in September and registered a 107.36 per cent growth on a year-on-year basis. The growth was recorded as compared to August 2024, and saw a 2.6 per cent surge in sales. 

Hyundai Venue: 

The fifth position on the list is secured by Hyundai's Venue which recorded a total sale of 10,259 units in September 2024. The Hyundai Venue recorded a decline of 15.94 per cent on a year-on-year basis. As compared to August 2024, Venue recorded a growth of 12.92 per cent on a month-on-month basis.
