Car sales in October 2024: The passenger vehicle segment in the festive period recorded a positive momentum in October. The automakers launched special edition variants and offers to attract customers. According to the data from SIAM, the top position on the sales chart of October 2024 was secured by Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, followed by Swift. In October 2024, Maruti Suzuki only has six cars in the top 10 sales chart compared to the company’s performance in September where as many as seven cars made it to the list.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga:

The first place is secured by Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which recorded total sales of 18,785 units in October 2024. Ertiga registered a growth of 33.90 per cent on a year-on-year basis and had a surge of 4,756 units as compared to the previous year.

The price of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga starts at Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base LXI variant.

Maruti Suzuki Swift:

The second position on the list is the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which recorded total sales of 17,539 units in October 2024. Swift was in the second position in September as well. The Maruti Suzuki Swift recorded a decline of 14.85 per cent on a year-on-year basis and the sales fell short of 3059 units as compared to the previous year.

The price of the Maruti Suzuki Swift starts at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base LXI variant.

Hyundai Creta

The third position on the top 10 sales chart was secured by Hyundai Creta, which recorded total sales of 17,497 units in October 2024. The SUV recorded a growth of 33.80 per cent on a year-on-year basis and there was a growth of 4,420 units as compared to the previous year.

The price of the Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base E 1.5 Petrol MT variant.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The fourth position was secured by the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which recorded a total sales of 16,565 units in October 2024. Brezza recorded a marginal growth of 3.21 per cent on a year-on-year basis and registered a marginal growth of 521 units as compared to the previous year.

The price of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza starts at Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base LXI variant.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx was in the fifth position on the sales chart in October 2024 and recorded total sales of 16,419 units. Fronx registered a growth of 44.57 per cent on a year-on-year basis, and there was a growth of 5,062 units as compared to the previous year.
