Maruti Suzuki sales surge 4% YoY, records of 2,06,434 units in October 2024

Maruti Suzuki sales in October: Maruti Suzuki India reported that company recorded highest-ever monthly sales in October. Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 2,06,434 units, having a surge of 4 per cent on a year-on-year basis, as compared to same month last year.

According to a statement from Maruti Suzuki, auto manufacturer sold a total of 1,99,217 units in same month last year.

Domestic Passenger Vehicle Sale:

In domestic passenger vehicle segment, sales were recorded at 1,59,591 units in October 2024. re was a decline of 5 per cent on a year-on-year, basis. As compared to October 2023,  re was a decline of 8,456 units, as re were 1,68,047 units sold in year-ago month, a decline of 5 per cent, it added.

Sales of Mini Segment Cars:

According to data released by Maruti Suzuki, sales of mini segment cars, which consist of Alto and S-Presso registered a decline. sales of this segment fell to 10,687 units from 14,568 units in October 2023, having a decline of 36.31 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

Sales of Compact Car Segment:

In compact car segment, sales, including Bale, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR, saw a decline. sales of this segment were recorded at 65,948 units. re was a decline of 22.31 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Maruti Suzuki had recorded sales of over 80,662 units in same month a year-ago period.

Sales of Utility Vehicles Segment:

utility vehicle segment, which has Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, and XL6. This segment recorded total sales of 70,644 units in October 2024. This segment saw a surge of 16.27 per cent on a year-on-year basis. utility vehicle segment saw sales of 59,147 units in October 2023.

In van category, sales of Eeco were at 11,653 units in October 2024. re was a decline against 12,975 units in same month last year, having a decline of 11.34 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

Commercial Vehicle Segment sales:

In light commercial vehicle segment, Super Carry recorded total sales of 3,539 units, having a marginal decline from 3,894 units earlier.

Maruti Suzuki's Exports:

In exports, Maruti Suzuki India said that exports in October stood at 33,168 units, having a growth of over 21,951 units in same month last year.
