Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 SUV: India’s leading luxury auto manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz India launched the sixth EV in its portfolio, the EQS 580 SUV at Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom) in India. It is priced at approximately Rs 20,000  lower than the EQS 580 sedan and sits between the EQE SUV and the EQS 680 Maybach. The EQS 580 SUV is powered by a 122 kWh battery pack with a claimed range output of 809 km. The EQS 580 SUV from Mercedes Benz India mainly rivals the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-Tron in its segment. In India, Mercedes-Benz launched the EQS 580 SUV at an introductory price of Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom). It mainly rivals the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-Tron in its segment.

Mercedes Benz EQS 580 SUV exterior design:

The exterior design of the EQS 580 SUV is similar to the EQS 680 Maybach model. The EQS 580 SUV has characteristics of the EQ family, having connected LED DRLs at the front and the rear and, a large black grill. The exterior design is smooth but has less chrome than the EQS Maybach variant.

The EQS 580 SUV has 5136mm length, 1965mm width, and 1718mm height. From the side, it is offered with 21-inch alloy wheels and options for upgrading are also available.

At the rear, the EQS 580 SUV has a similar design to the EQS Maybach. The connected LED DRLs and the taillamp enhance the luxury character, and the rear parking camera pops out of the Mercedes logo.

Mercedes Benz EQS 580 SUV interiors and features:

The interiors of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 SUV are similar to the EQS Maybach SUV. The EQS 580 SUV features the 56-inch hyperscreen which comes equipped with an MBUX system. There is a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch passenger side screen. Since the EQS Maybach is offered in a four or five-seater configuration, the EQS 580 SUV will be offered in a regular five-seater configuration and optional seven-seater as well. It has long list of features such as soft-close doors, puddle lamps, illuminated running boards, a 15-speaker Burmester sound system, five-zone climate control, etc. 

Mercedes Benz EQS 580 range and powertrain:

Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 SUV is powered by a 122 kWh battery pack. The EQS 580 SUV has dual motors present at both axles and comes with the rear-axle steering wheel as well. The 122 kWh battery has a range of 809 km on a single charge. The motors churn out 536 BHP and 858 Nm torque and have a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.7 seconds. The battery on the EQS 580 supports up to 200kW DC fast charging as well.
