MG Windsor EV launched: JSW MG Motors India launched its new offering in the electric vehicle segment, Windsor EV at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh in India along with a battery rent of Rs 3.5 per km. JSW recently acquired a 35 per cent stake in MG Motors India and this is the first electric vehicle launched after the joint venture with JSW Steel India. The 38 kWh battery pack offered on the Windsor EV provides a claimed range of 331 km. MG Windsor EV price and competition:

The price of the MG Windsor EV starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India along with a battery rental of Rs 3.5 per km It is offered in three variants and four colour options. 

MG Windsor EV exteriors:

The MG Windsor EV comes with a simplistic and curvy exterior design. The front design of the Windsor EV has a bold character, with connected LED DRLs and oval-shaped LED headlamps. In addition to that, there is a front parking camera neatly integrated into the bumper. The overall front design is aerodynamically designed, to reduce the wind drag and enhance the range of the EV. It has a 2,700mm wheelbase, 1,677mm height and a width of 1,850mm. The front has an illuminated logo. 

Coming to the side profile of the Windsor EV, the 18-inch wheels have blue accents and flush door handles provide better aerodynamics. The large windows on the Windsor EV enhance the airy feeling inside the cabin.

The rear of the MG Windsor EV has a similar design to the front. The rear of the Windsor EV also comes with connected LED DRLs and LED taillamps on offer. There are four reverse parking sensors along with a reverse parking camera as well. The 604 litre boot space offered on the Windsor EV is ample enough to stuff the luggage for weekend getaways.

MG Windsor EV interior ambiance:

On stepping inside the Windsor EV, the interiors are all fresh and offer great space for passengers. The front seats of the Windsor EV offer comfortable seating. In addition to that, the all-black leather upholstery and golden accents enhances the sophistication of the cabin. The MG Windsor EV is offered with a 15.6-inch infotainment system and the instrument cluster is a 8.8-inch unit. Overall the interiors of the MG Windsor EV don’t feel claustrophobic despite having all-black interiors as the panoramic moonroof and large windows bring in airyness inside the cabin.

The MG Windsor EV is equipped with a 38 kWh Lithium Ion LFP battery pack offering a range of 331 km. Along with this battery pack, the motor has a power output of 136 BHP and 200 Nm torque on offer. To enhance the driving experience of the customers, the Windsor EV offers three driving modes, and three regenerative modes as well to enhance the driving range of the Windsor EV during city and highway commutes.
