Tata Harrier and Safari Updated: Tata Motors has rolled out an update of the ADAS features in its Harrier and Safari SUVs in India. This new over-the-air update from Tata Motors adds assistive steering technologies to the Harrier and Safari. Tata Safari and Harrier offer electronic power steering as the hydraulic steering offered in the previous models can’t be seamlessly tuned to work autonomously with the vehicle’s ADAS suite. Let us have a look at the updates received by Tata Harrier and Safari:

Tata Harrier and Safari Updated with 2 Features:

Tata Motors rolled out the Lane Keep Assist Feature and the Lane Centering System. The Lane Keep Assist feature helps to maintain the vehicle in a particular lane. When the vehicle tends to move out of the lane, then it warns the driver and keeps the car maintained in the lane.

The second feature is the Lane Centering System, which is the Adaptive Steering Assist. In this feature, the vehicle maintains the steering inputs and keeps the vehicle in a single lane, if there is a banking on the road or curve ahead. The updated Harrier and Safari, offer electronic steering, which is easier to be calibrated with the adaptive steering assist as compared to the traditional hydraulic steering, which was used to offer earlier.

Tata Harrier and Safari Other ADAS Features:

Tata Motors launched the Harrier and Safari 11 autonomous driving features. These functions include autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and auto braking. Additionally, the Harrier and Safari also offer rear blind spot warning, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, door open alert, and lane departure warning.
