Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC's transport and logistics scheme secures Rs 800 crore in NFO collection

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd reported on Wednesday that it has amassed nearly Rs 800 crore during the new fund offering (NFO) period for its transport and logistics scheme. The Aditya Birla Sun Life Transport and Logistics Fund, a thematic fund, reopened for subscription on November 21 after a robust response during the NFO phase, attracting investments from 53,777 investors and totalling Rs 798.89 crore.

With a focus on tapping into the growth potential of the transportation and logistics sector, a key driver of the Indian economy, the open-ended equity-oriented thematic fund aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation. A Balasubramanian, Managing Director and CEO at Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, highlighted the fund's unique proposition, emphasising its objective to invest in companies well-positioned to benefit from structural changes and emerging trends in the sector.

Describing the transportation and logistics theme as dynamic and rapidly expanding, the company underscored robust growth drivers on both the demand and supply fronts. The transportation theme encompasses sectors like automobiles and auto ancillary, while the logistics theme includes areas such as ports, warehousing/supply chain, e-commerce, and related sectors. Common sectors for both themes include shipping, railways, infrastructure, and airlines.
