Air India deploys first A320neo with new livery and cabin interiors

Air India's A320neo debut: Air India has introduced its first A320neo aircraft with a new livery and updated cabin interiors into service on the Delhi-Bengaluru route. The aircraft, registered as VT-RTN, arrived from Airbus Headquarters in Toulouse on 7 July 2024.

Class configurations overview

The A320neo is configured into three classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. The Business class boasts eight luxurious seats with 40 inches of seat pitch, 7 inches of recline, leg rests, footrests, movable armrests, 4-way adjustable headrests, and extendable tray tables equipped with PED (personal electronic device) holders.

In the Premium Economy cabin, passengers enjoy 24 extra-legroom seats arranged in a 3-3 configuration across four rows, featuring superior upholstery, 4-way adjustable headrests, 32 inches of seat pitch, 4 inches of recline, and amenities such as PED holders.

The Economy cabin is equipped with 132 ergonomically designed seats in a 3-3 configuration, offering comfortable upholstery, 28-29-inch seat pitch, 4 inches of recline, PED holders, and coat hooks.

Enhanced in-flight connectivity

All seats in Premium Economy and Economy are equipped with USB charging ports, while Business class seats also include AC power outlets. This addition aims to enhance the passenger experience on domestic routes.

The deployment of the A320neo is part of Air India's strategy to upgrade its fleet and improve service standards on both domestic and international routes.
