Amazon's great freedom sale: Here are smartphone deals you can't miss

Ahead of the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series launch, Apple iPhone 14 is now available at a significant discount on Amazon India. During the ongoing Amazon Great Freedom Festival sale, the iPhone 14, which was originally launched in India at a starting price of Rs 79,900, is selling at a discounted price of Rs 67,499. 

However, with an additional Rs 1,000 instant discount on SBI credit cards, buyers can get the iPhone 14 for an even lower price of Rs 66,499. This marks the lowest price the iPhone 14 has ever been sold at. The sale is set to end on August 8, 2023.

The Amazon Great Freedom Festival sale has captured the attention of tech enthusiasts with its irresistible discounts on various other smartphones also. One of the highlighted deals is on the newly launched Redmi 12 5G, powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It boasts a 6.79" FHD+ display with a buttery smooth 90Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone is available in three variants: the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant at just Rs 11,999, the 6GB + 128GB variant at Rs 13,499, and the top-of-the-line 8GB + 256GB variant priced at Rs 15,499. Customers holding SBI credit cards can enjoy an additional discount of Rs 1,000 on their purchases.

Another attractive deal is on the Realme Narzo N55, featuring a MediaTek Helio G88 processor and a 6.72-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is now available at a discounted price of Rs 10,999, down from its original retail price of Rs 12,999. Similarly, the 6GB + 128GB variant can be purchased for Rs 12,999, compared to its original price of Rs 14,999.

For those looking for a feature-packed 5G smartphone, the Lava Blaze 5G is a worthy option. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, it boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 4GB RAM variant is now available at Rs 10,499, while the 6GB RAM variant receives a generous discount, priced at Rs 11,999.

The Redmi Note 11S, sporting a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC and a stunning 108-megapixel quad-camera setup, is also on offer during the sale. Customers can grab this impressive device for just Rs 12,999.

Upcoming iPhone launch

As for the upcoming iPhone 15 series, Apple is expected to introduce multiple models, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The launch is rumoured to take place in the third week of September, with pre-orders possibly opening on September 15. However, analysts predict that the demand for the iPhone 15 may be less than that of its predecessor, the iPhone 14.

Despite the projected lower demand for the iPhone 15, Apple has been making significant strides in the Indian smartphone market. As of June 2023, the company achieved a market share of over 5 per cent, registering an impressive YoY growth of 61 per cent. This growth has been especially pronounced for the non-pro models of the iPhone, positioning Apple as one of the biggest gainers in the Indian smartphone industry.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to feature a dynamic island design and come with a USB Type-C port, replacing the traditional Lightning port. However, the standard models are likely to maintain the same pricing as their predecessors, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
