Ambuja Cement Q1: Ambuja Cements Ltd, part of the Adani Group, reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 789.63 crore for the first quarter ending June 2024 on Wednesday. This is a decrease of 11 per cent from the net profit of Rs 1,135.46 crore recorded in the same period last year, according to a regulatory filing by the company.

ACL noted that the consolidated financial results for the current quarter, the preceding quarter, and the fiscal year 2024 include the results of Sanghi, acquired in August last year, and ACCPL (Asian Concretes and Cements Pvt Ltd), acquired by its subsidiary ACC. "The results for the current quarter, preceding quarter, and year ended March 31, 2024, are not comparable with the quarter ended June 30, 2023, to that extent," the company stated.
Total expenses for the June quarter amounted to Rs 7,566.91 crore.

Total income, including other income, was Rs 8,666.20 crore for the June quarter.
Shares of Ambuja Cements Ltd were trading at Rs 681.85 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday, up 1.10 per cent from the previous close.
