Apple's forthcoming Artificial Intelligence features will be delayed and will not be included in the initial release of the new iPhone and iPad software updates, Bloomberg News reported on Sunday. According to the report, Apple plans to start rolling out its Apple Intelligence features to customers by October as part of subsequent software updates.
These AI features are expected to arrive a few weeks after the initial iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 releases scheduled for September.

It will be for the first time that Apple will make Apple Intelligence available to software developers for early testing, starting this week with the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 betas, the report added. Apple did not immediately respond to requests for comment outside of regular business hours.
In June, Apple emphasised its commitment to AI with a range of new features and software enhancements for its iPhone and other devices, aiming to boost declining sales.

Apple Intelligence, which utilizes AI to generate text, images, and other content on command, will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac devices equipped with the M1 chip and later versions. Additionally, iPhone Mirroring on macOS Sequoia will allow users to view and interact with their phone's screen on Mac computers.
This delay follows Apple's decision in late June to postpone the launch of three new AI features to ensure compliance with significant European Union tech regulations, which mandate that rival products and services must be compatible with its devices.
