Microsoft service outage: Microsoft announced on Friday that it has resolved the underlying cause of the outage affecting its 365 apps and services. However, some customers are still experiencing residual impacts from the cybersecurity issues.

The outage has caused significant disruptions, particularly in the airline industry. Airlines such as IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa experienced issues with their online check-in and boarding processes, forcing them to switch to manual operations. Passengers faced delays and inconveniences as a result.

Users reported the disruptions on the outage-tracking website Downdetector and expressed their frustration on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), citing 'Blue Screen of Death' error messages. Despite the widespread impact, some major institutions remained unaffected. The State Bank of India (SBI) confirmed that its systems were not impacted, and both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) reported no issues.
