DMRC expands services to tackle Delhi's pollution crisis
To boost the use of public transportation and combat pollution, DMRC has decided to add more train trips to its network, going beyond its daily average.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is taking steps to dress city's pollution issues in line with Gred Response Action Plan (GRAP)-II stage. To boost use of public transportation and combat pollution, DMRC has decided to d more train trips to its network, going beyond its daily average of 4300 trips.
Under se special measures, DMRC will operate an extra 50 train trips on weekdays (Monday to Friday) starting from October 25, 2023, until furr notice. This initiative aims to encourage more passengers to rely on public transit throughout Delhi-NCR.
Delhi's AQI update
Although Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) has seen a slight improvement on Tuesday, it remains in poor category. Just recently, city's air quality deteriorated to "very poor" levels for first time since May, mainly due to decreased temperatures and wind speed, allowing pollutants to accumulate.
Notably, Delhi Metro has achieved a milestone by becoming longest metro route in country. This milestone was reached with inauguration of Dwarka Sector-21 to Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector–25 Metro section on Airport Express Line corridor. city's rapid transit network now spans 393 kilometres, serving 288 stations, including Noida – Greater Noida metro corridor and rapid metro in Gurugram.
