IBM CEO calls PM Modi an 'authentic leader' and a 'genuine listener'
IBM CEO interacted with PM Modi at the CEO Roundtable in New York. After the meeting, she shared her thoughts about it and called PM Modi an 'authentic leader'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the CEO Roundtable in New York where he interacted with American business leaders. IBM CEO Ginni Rometty interacted with the Prime Minister at the meeting. After the meeting, she has called PM Modi as an ‘authentic leader'.
'PM Modi genuinely listened to everyone's input'
In a video posted by the Office of the Prime Minister on Twitter, Ginni Rometty said, “We have just left an outstanding meeting with Prime Minister Modi. One of the things that stands out is what an authentic leader he is, genuinely listening to everyone’s input in the room and while I went to the meeting optimistic about India, I am even more optimistic about India and his firm, firm intent continue to help with the ease of doing business and that is a win for both India and IBM.”
PM Modi’s address at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum
Before his meeting with the top CEOs, PM Modi delivered the keynote address at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum on the third day of engagements during his visit in New York for the annual high-level UN General Assembly session. Delivering the keynote address at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that infrastructure creation in India was progressing at a fast pace. Earlier, Michael Bloomberg, co-founder of Bloomberg LP, welcomed the PM to the event. The latter urged foreign companies to invest in India as it was one of the world’s largest ecosystems.
‘Rapidly modernizing our cities’
PM Modi outlined the potential for investment arising from the massive infrastructure push India is currently in the midst of, also mentioning the fact that the government was in the process of building millions of homes for the poor and the middle class.
"Our infrastructure creation is expanding at a fast pace, from highways to metros, from railways to ports and from airports to logistics. Each sector is seeing massive investment and tremendous potential. Thus, if you want to invest in one of the world’s largest ecosystem, come to India. We are rapidly modernizing our cities and equipping them with the latest technology and citizen-friendly infrastructure. Thus, if you want to invest in urbanization, come to India. We have opened our defence sector as never before. If you want to make in India, for India and for the world, come to India. We are building tens of millions of homes for the poor and the middle classes. This is perhaps the largest housing efforts in the world. Thus, to invest in realty, come to India," the Prime Minister said.
