The Mahindra Group inaugurated its new office in the United States capital Washington D.C. to commemorate its 25th anniversary of doing business in the US.

The Mahindra Group on September 10 inaugurated its new office in the United States capital Washington D.C. to commemorate its 25 years of doing business in the US. Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra through his tweet on Monday announced the opening of Mahindra Group’s first representative office in the US capital. He termed the inauguration as a 'milestone moment' for the group.

"The new Washington D.C. office is an important element of the company's stratergy to expand in the US," said Mahindra. "With an investment of over $1 billion in the U.S. market, Mahindra is committed to double the investments here over the next few years. We are also proud to strenghten our commitment of creating American jobs and meaningfully contribute to the local economies and the communities in which we operate," the Chairman added. Dilip Sundaram, President of Corporate Affairs-America, Mahindra Group who will be leading the Washington office said that the company was looking forward to work with its American partners precisely focussing on growing Mahindra's manufcaturing and automotive operations. “Mahindra has a clear vision for the U.S. and presence in Washington D.C. will enhance our strategy to work towards achieving our goals,” said Sundaram.

Mahindra Group inaugurates Automative Plant in Detroit
The Mahindra Group, which is a US $ 20.7 billion global federation of companies spanning across automotive manufacturing, farm equipment production, IT services, sustainable transportation, multipurpose aircraft development and equipment financing services also set up its first new automative plant in Detroit giving a positive boost to the trade relations between India and the US. Another feat of Mahindra includes its urban agriculture programme which has created 1,500 new gardens across low-income areas of Detroit and has turned abandoned properties into working farms, which have in turn generated a million pounds of fresh produce.
