Som Distilleries gets approval for supply of beer brands in Karnataka

The company said that it is in the process of expanding its beer capacity in Karnataka.

Som Distilleries shares surged as much as 7 per cent to Rs 302.10 after company received approval from Karnataka excise department for supply of beer brands Hunter, Blackfort, and Woodpecker in Tamil Nu.

"We are pleased to anunce that we have received official approval from Karnataka. Excise Department for supply of our premium beer brands, Hunter, Blackfort, and Woodpecker, to state of Tamil Nu," said company in an exchange filing.

company said that it is in process of expanding its beer capacity in Karnataka.

"This milestone approval marks a significant achievement for us as we expand our reach and introduce our rewned beer brands to new and high-consumption markets like Tamil Nu. This approval augurs well, as we are in process of expanding our beer capacity in our Karnataka plant," it said.

As of 1:40 pm, shares of Som Distillaries were tring at Rs 304.20, 6.70 per cent higher than previous close on NSE.
