MNM chief Kamal Haasan slams government's 'self-serving' interim budget, calls it "money for votes"

Describing union budget as 'self-serving,' actor-politician Kamal Haasan said that "in parts, it sounded like legitimate version of money for votes."
government h anunced that individual taxpayers having net taxable income up to Rs 5,00,000 will enjoy a full tax rebate i.e. a tax saving up to Rs 13,000. Furrmore, Prhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi — under which Rs 6,000 a year will be transferred to bank accounts of some 12 crore farmer families — with an outlay of Rs 20,000 crore for final four months of this fiscal and Rs 75,000 crore, was anunced for farmers. Referring to se anuncements, Mr Haasan tweeted that promises me to farmers "might look impressive" but that it would amount to a "paltry sum," when broken down to per diem.

Scrutinizing budget, Kamal Haasan concluded that ecomic experts will easily be able to pick holes in budget. Hitting final nail, He ded that it is obvious even to common that interim budget in parts sounds like "legitimate version of money for votes".
Apparently referring to BJP as " party in power," he said, while it may reap benefits of this dole, what if people choose ar party in coming Lok Sabha polls.

Why would new dispensation continue with se budgetary proposals "which y are alrey critical of?" he asked in his last and final tweet.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal anunced a number of schemes in a combative interim budget speech on February 1, 2019. dressing Lok Sabha, Goyal began by delivering a report card of Modi government's achievements in past five years, listing following major points:
- From double-digit inflation, India has become fastest-growing major ecomy in world
- He also delivered an account of India's fiscal stability in last five years, citing macroecomic figures
- He also spoke about a number of or government undertakings and ir success, listing Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, reservation for EWS, clamping down on loan practices that caused NPAs to balloon and success of IBC, liberalisation of FDI rms, GST, increase in direct tax collections and tax base, successes in rural electrification and ro building, success of Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme, etc.
He proceeded to anunce a number of gamechangers that may have a big effect on ir respective sectors, and for masses.
