PM Modi to deliver keynote address at Global Business Forum in NY

PM Modi will deliver the keynote address at the GBF 2019 on Sep 25. He will also indulge in a conversation with Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City

After the mega 'Howdy, Modi!' event in Houston and his bilateral meet with US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum (GBF) 2019 on September 25, Tuesday in New York, United States of America. Post his address to the forum, PM Modi will also indulge in a conversation with Michael R. Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City. The conversation will focus on opportunities to strengthen global economic stability, tackle climate change, promote economic growth and advanced technologies that can improve society.

About the forum

The Bloomberg Global Business Forum is an annual public-private gathering alongside the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) convening hundreds of CEOs and heads of state and government. The theme of the forum this year is "Restoring Global Stability" and it will focus on aligning governments and businesses on combating the rise of economic and environmental instability which is the greatest threat to global prosperity.

Other participants at the summit

The 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush will convene a roundtable discussion focusing on the impact of partnerships on the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa. H.E. Iván Duque Márquez, President of Colombia, and the 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton will host a roundtable on how a robust economic outlook for Colombia. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, and CEOs Bob Iger of Walt Disney, David Solomon of Goldman Sachs, Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase, Michael Corbet of Citibank, Tidjane Thiam of Credit Suisse, Anand Mahindra of the Mahindra Group and Dara Khosrowshahi of Uber are also listed as participants of the GBF 2019. 

PM Modi, who is currently on his US visit, earlier also held bilateral talks with the US President Donald Trump on September 24 with delegations from both the countries. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on September 27 which will be his first address in the high-level segment after 2014.
