Twitter to allow employees to work from home 'forever', even after Covid reopening

Twitter announced that it plans to allow all its employees to continue work from home in the future, even after its offices reopen in the post-COVID-19 world

In wake of COVID-19 outbreak, social media giant Twitter anunced on Tuesday that it plans to allow all its employees to continue work from home in future, even after its offices reopen in a post-pandemic period.

"Twitter was one of first companies to go to a WFH [work from home] model in face of COVID-19, but we don’t anticipate being one of first to return to offices," company said in a statement.

As staff has been working from home for past few months, it has proven company can function in this manner, statement ded.

"So, if our employees are in a role and situation that enables m to work from home and y want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen. If t, our offices will be ir warm and welcoming selves, with some ditional precautions, when we feel it’s safe to return,” it stated.

Offices to remain closed till September

Twitter said its offices will t likely open before September, and it will be reopened grually and with great caution. company has also decided t to hold any person to person meetings or events this year.

"We’re proud of early action we took to protect health of our employees and our communities," microblogging company said. "That will remain our top priority as we work through unkwns of coming months."
