Zerodha Fund House prepares for debut NFO in coming weeks

The asset management company (AMC) is setting up a dedicated platform to host its diverse lineup of solutions.

Zerodha NFO: Zerodha Fund House is gearing up for its inaugural New Fund Offer (NFO), expected to launch within the next six to eight weeks, as per CEO Vishal Jain. The company is finalising all necessary formalities to introduce its initial range of products. Zerodha's asset management arm will operate as a distinct digital-first fund house, functioning independently under the sponsorship of Zerodha Broking Ltd.

In collaboration with Smallcase

Zerodha's foray into the asset management company (AMC) space is marked by a focus on index funds, with an emphasis on equity traded funds (ETFs). This endeavour is accomplished in collaboration with the support of Amazon-backed wealth management firm Smallcase. The AMC is setting up a dedicated platform to host its diverse lineup of solutions. These offerings will be conveniently accessible through prominent digital and exchange platforms, including Zerodha and Smallcase. 

Experienced barracks

Heading Zerodha Asset Management is CEO Vishal Jain, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in financial services, including significant contributions to ETFs and passive products.

The fund management team also includes Kedarnath Mirajkar, who brings over 17 years of experience in financial markets. He takes on the role of Fund Manager - Equity for Zerodha Asset Management Pvt. Ltd.

Zerodha, India's largest brokerage platform boasting more than 12 million users, originated the discount broking model in the nation upon its establishment in 2010. Known for its straightforward, cost-effective products and services, Zerodha accounts for over 15 per cent of retail trading volumes. The company's business extends to investments in capital markets innovation via its fund and incubator endeavours.
