Israel Defence Forces position tanks on Gaza border, issue evacuation orders to civilians

The IDF deploys along the Gaza border as it urges civilian evacuation from Gaza City, raising concerns about the ongoing conflict's escalation.

Israeli Defence Forces armed with tanks are strategically positioning mselves along country's sourn border with Gaza. This move comes after Israeli military issued a call on Friday for evacuation of all civilians from Gaza City, raising concerns about a potential escalation in ongoing conflict.  

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement urging Gaza City's civilians to relocate from ir homes, emphasizing importance of ir safety. IDF directed citizens to move to area south of Wi Gaza, as marked on provided map. y stressed that civilians should only return when specifically vised to do so, and cautioned against approaching area near security fence with Israel.

Hamas's response to evacuation orders  

In response to Israel's evacuation orders, Hamas has dismissed call for Palestinians to evacuate norrn half of Gaza Strip. Inste, y have asked residents to stay put, raising concerns about safety of those remaining in conflict zone.  

IDF's statement highlights precarious situation in Gaza City, where military operations are currently underway due to conflict initiated by Hamas terrorist organization. Civilians were urged to evacuate southwards for ir own safety and protection, with IDF expressing concerns about Hamas terrorists using innocent Gazan civilians as human shields.

According to reports, at least 1,537 Palestinians have been killed, with 6,612 ors injured in conflict. situation extends beyond Gaza, with at least 36 people reported de and more than 650 injured in West Bank and East Jerusalem.  

UN reports displacement and sheltering

United Nations Secretary-General spokesperson Stephane Dujarric shared alarming statistics, revealing that over 338,000 Palestinians have been displaced due to escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas. Nearly 218,000 of se displaced individuals are sheltering in 92 schools run by UN Relief and Works Agency, highlighting urgent need for humanitarian assistance.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, spokesperson for Israeli Defense Forces, dressed current situation. He emphasized Israel's determination to strip Hamas of all its military capabilities. IDF intends to continue its operations in Gaza with significant force while making extensive efforts to avoid harming civilians. Conricus stressed that primary objective is to eliminate Hamas's ability to strike, harm, or kill Israeli civilians.  

Rising death toll and complex recovery efforts

Conricus also noted grim reality of situation, with death toll from Hamas terror attacks on Israel climbing to 1,300, and more than 3,000 individuals injured. He discussed ongoing efforts to collect bodies of victims and bring m to Tel Aviv for identification before reuniting m with ir loved ones. complex and tedious process involves multiple security organizations and government ministries, an unprecedented challenge in Israel's history.
