Commerce min to review free trade agreements: Goyal

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said his ministry will review all existing free tre agreements with different countries to protect interest of industry and trers.

dressing domestic trers here, he said India also decided to walk out from Regional Comprehensive Ecomic Partnership agreement keeping in view interest of small trers and dairy industry.
Goyal said that free tre agreements (FTAs) with countries like Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN provided duty-free access to Indian markets but domestic goods face barriers in se countries.

"I want to assure you that commerce ministry will open old FTAs and hold discussions with se countries," minister said.

Speaking about forthcoming assembly elections in national capital, he appealed trers to support BJP as AAP government has t fulfilled ir promises.

"If BJP would come to power in Delhi, it would stand with trers and work to protect ir interests," he said.
Goyal alleged that Arvind Kejriwal-government creates hurdles in implementation of central government schemes in capital.
