New Rs. 100 note to be released by Reserve Bank of India (RBI). See the design and monument motif here

The Reserve Bank of India has issued a release stating that it will introduce a new series of Rs 100 notes. The notes are bluish-purple in colour and on its back, bears the motif of the Rani Ki Vav in Gujarat.

Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ₹ 100 demination banktes in Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bearing signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Goverr, Reserve Bank of India. new demination has Motif of “RANI KI VAV” on reverse, depicting country’s cultural herit. base colour of te is Lavender. te has or designs, geometric patterns aligning with overall colour scheme, both at obverse and reverse. Dimension of bankte will be 66 mm × 142 mm.

All banktes in demination of ₹ 100/- issued by Reserve Bank in earlier series will continue to be legal tender.

As is rmal, when a new design of bankte is introduced, printing and supply of se tes for distribution to public through banking channel will grually increase.

In terms of design, new Rs 1000 te is similar to Rs 500, and Rs 2000 tes that were issued immediately after demonetisation, and Rs 200, Rs. 50 and Rs 10 tes that have since also been issued.
