New Delhi: The Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) has released its highly anticipated University Ranking 2024, recognizing excellence in higher education across various categories. This year's rankings showcase the country's top central universities, deemed universities, and private universities, highlighting their exceptional performance in research, faculty quality, and student outcomes.

Jawaharlal Nehru University has emerged as the top central university, followed by DU and BHU. IISc Bengaluru has been ranked top deemed university, followed by IARI and Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai. 

Top Central Universities:

1. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi

2. University of Delhi (DU), New Delhi (up from 6th rank last year)

3. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi

Top Deemed Universities (Government & Private):

1. Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru

2. Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi

3. Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai

Top Private Universities (Overall):

1. Ashoka University, Sonipat (up from 2nd rank last year)

2. Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar

3. Shiv Nadar University, Dadri
