Jamia Millia Islamia to consider CUET scores for admissions to only 20 courses

Jamia Millia Islamia has anunced that it will accept Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG scores for missions to only 20 courses. For same, candidates willing to take mission to Delhi-based university will have to fill out both CUET and Jamia’s application forms.

According to official statement, Undergruate courses in which candidates can take mission through ir CUET UG scores are- BA (Hons) (Turkish Lang and Literature)* (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) French and Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) History, BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Urdu, B.A. (Hons) Korean Langu, BA (Hons) Persian, BSc Biotechlogy, BVoc (Solar Energy), BSc (Hons) Physics, BSc (Hons) Chemistry, BSc (Hons) Applied Mamatics and BA( Hons) Ecomics, among ors. 

UGC appeals JMI to accept CUET scores for all courses

Earlier, University Grants Commission h written a letter to Jamia Millia Islamia university for taking measures and opting CUET scores for mission to all its courses. According to sources, university on Friday, in a letter to regulatory body, said that it will only accept CUET scores for missions to 20 UG, and PG courses – 15 undergruate courses and 5 postgruate courses.

However, JMI Registrar Nazim Husain Al-Jafri has informed regulatory body that JMI will take mission to all its courses through CUET scores from next acemic year. university has plans to take up CUET PG for missions from next year as well, he ded. 

Common University Entrance Test is a pan-India test that is organised by National Testing ncy (NTA) for mission of candidates to several Undergruate, Integrated, Postgruate, Diploma, and Certification courses and Research Programmes in 45 Central Universities of India. This year, CUET 2023 exams will be conducted from May 21 and application form was released on February 9 on official website. result will be declared in June 2023.
