All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has derecognised three postgraduate programmes offered by MDI-Gurgaon, for violating rms on course duration. On June 30 AICTE withdrew its approval for postgraduate programme in Energy Manment, postgraduate diploma in manment and postgraduate programme in Public Policy Manment under 'Executive Manment Programme' by MDI-Gurgaon.

MDI-Gurgaon violates AICTE rms
AICTE order stated that MDI-Gurgaon violated its rms on course duration and was offering postgraduate programmes in Public Policy manment and Energy Manment as executive manment programmes for 15 months when approval has always been for 24 months. Furr, AICTE mandated a minimum duration of 15 or 18 months for on-campus classes for executive manment programme but it was being conducted for 12 months, order said.
AICTE also pulled up institute’s manment for t having fire safety certificates for 34 out of 36 buildings on campus and proper building plan approvals.

Public Policy manment programme is designed for civil servants and public officials from central and state governments, Executive manment programme is for working professionals and entrepreneurs while Energy manment programme strives to prepare leaders for energy sector.

For w, institute has been allowed to continue its remaining programmes with a 'strict warning' to comply with all deficiencies highlighted by expert committee of Council within six months. order furr said that approval for restoring derecognised programmes will be granted only after verification of all compliance by AICTE.
institute has already started executive manment programme in April, by enrolling 20 students however it is t clear what will happen to se students in wake of AICTE withdrawing approval for this programme.
