CBSE Exam Postponed Due To Coronavirus? Here Is All You Need To Know

The CBSE board exams began around February 24, and will continue till April 14. Precautionary measures have been taken, however, to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Several schools and colleges have been shut down in various states of India till March 31. However, as part of the latest update, all ongoing exams, including CBSE exams, are now to be rescheduled after March 31 as well, as per the Ministry of Human Resource Development. This also includes the JEE Mains.

The news of exam postponement has come on account of the Coronavirus outbreak.  

• In its circular, the HRD ministry says that all ongoing exams are to be rescheduled to after March 31. This includes CBSE, NIOS and also University exams.
• Similarly, all evaluation work related to CBSE, NIOS and University Exams is also to be rescheduled till after March 31.
• As JEE Mains may require travel by examinees to different towns and dates may clash with other exams, the JEE Mains will be rescheduled and new dates will be announced on March 31, after the situation is re-assessed.
