Delhi: 17-year-old COVID warrior makes LungAI app, wins HRD Ministry's Ideathon contest
Delhi student has won the HRD Ministry's contest under the category of Sustainable Environment as he made LungAI app to detect COVID-19 in 3 seconds.

A Class XII Delhi student has won Ministry of Human Resource Development's (HRD) 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Ideathon' under category of Sustainable Environment after he created a web-based app LungAI, which can detect COVID-19 and or lung disorders. Aryan Gulati of Delhi Public School, RK Puram won contest and became youngest winner of contest. Aryan has received Rs. 2 lakh to furr implement his app that has an accuracy rating of 90 percent.

According to reports, app provides results in 3 to 5 seconds after uploing an x-ray or a CT scan of chest on website. app also has a messaging system using which one can send detection directly to doctors and to hospitals. website can detect if patient is COVID-19 positive or t, if result comes out positive n it provides a list of nearby hospitals where one can visit, if it comes out negative, patient can check for or lung disorders.

What inspired Aryan?
Aryan reportedly said that he wanted to create a testing system that did t require physical contact with potential COVID-19 patients and that is why he came up with idea to detect se abrmalities using X-ray and CT scan ims. Aryan is reportedly in talks with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), body leing India's fight against coronavirus, to launch app on a large scale.

Atmanirbhar Bharat Ideathon was held across five categories on June 20 and event was based on concept of 'Today's problem will bring tomorrow's invation'. Along with Aryan four or participants won contest and received money to implement ir idea at national level with help of government.
