Delhi university registration & admission form details are to be announced soon after the meeting of the academic councils today. DU rules to change this time?

DU i.e. Delhi University usually anunces new applications for new missions of UG, PG & PhD students on June 1st. However, it was delayed indefinitely this time due to coronavirus lockdown in country. DU Acemic Council is expected to discuss details about  eligibility, online courses and mission criteria for this new acemic session today. According to sources, registration is likely to begin between late June to early July, but an official confirmation is still awaited. 

DU expected mission rules for 2020 session

  • DU is expected to provide a single DU application form for mission of new students into 90 DU affiliated colleges. 
  • According to sources, re are sports or extracurricular trails going to be conducted in wake of Coronavirus pandemic. refore, an alternative decision is likely to be taken for same. 
  • DU application form would be available through online mode using this URL:  du.ac.in.
  • DU might change rules this time associated with mission into various courses in University. 
  • Issues related to mission of reserved category candidates may be discussed during DU Acemic council meeting today.
  • Since Delhi University was asked to reserve 15% seats for EWS quota (Ecomically Weaker Section). Last year it implemented 10% and remaining percent was expected to be implemented by current year. DU Acemic council may anunce ir actions regarding same as well. 
  • Eligibility criteria to various DU courses as well as fee structure are likely to remain same as of previous year.
  • verification of documents during new mission may take place through online mode this time. physical verification of documents may be conducted once college session starts.

DU UG Courses

mission to merit-based UG programmes depends on cut-off score released by college. Exams like Delhi University Entrance Test 2020 (DUET) and Delhi University Joint mission Test 2020 (DU-JAT) are conducted to shortlist aspirants for mission to selective UG courses, like BTech, BMS, BBA-FIA, etc.

DU PG Courses

DU PG mission 2020 occurs via direct entry as well as through entrance exam. For selective PG courses, mission occurs through DUET 2020 and DU-JAT 2020. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PwD category are given mission directly based on cut-offs for merit-based programmes. While EWS quota (Ecomically Weaker Section) candidates are required to submit ir EWS certificate along with income certificate to avail mission.

DU PhD Courses

mission to MPhil and PhD programmes are usually based on candidates' scores that an individual obtains in ir university-based entrance test. entrance test is usually followed by a personal interview (PI), but this time due to coronavirus pandemic, PI structure may change. Those candidates who have a valid UGC NET/ CSIR NET score are generally exempted from a written test and are directly called for an interview.
