Education Ministry launches NCERT formulated Students’ Learning Enhancement Guidelines

The education ministry on August 19 launched ‘Learning Enhancement Guidelines’ for the continuing education of students amid COVID-10 pandemic.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, on August 19, launched ‘Learning Enhancement Guidelines’ for continuing education of students amid COVID-10 pandemic. new set of guidelines have been formulated by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for students with or without digital resources to continue learning while school remain shut to curb spre of dely virus. 

While launching guideline virtually, Pokhriyal said that guidelines emphasize upon community working closely with school to get learning materials such as workbooks, worksheets, etcetera delivered at doorsteps of children by teachers and volunteers. He ded that it also suggests teaching local students by volunteers or teachers setting up television at community centre and maintaining social distance rms.

Furrmore, Union Education Minister informed that documents such as Alternative Acemic Calendar, PRAGYATA Guidelines, Digital Education-India Report, NISHTHA-Online, etc are some of initiatives that have been undertaken to maintain continuity in school education for children.

Guidelines beneficial for three s of models 

new guidelines for students have been prepared in direction of Ministry of Education. ministry informed that guidelines suggest measures for three s of models, i.e. students t having any digital resource, students with limited digital resource and for students with available Digital resource for online education.

guidelines are based on a survey by NCERT on accessibility of digital resources in schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and Central Board of Secondary Education and also on Continuous Learning Plan prepared for States/UTs by Ministry of Education.

Under ‘Learning Enhancement Guidelines’, education ministry has also decided to set up a helpline at community centre, with help of members of community and vill Panchayati Raj. Moreover, guidelines recommend orientation of parents to support and participate in learning of ir wards.
