GATE 2025 Registration Last Date Today: Top 7 Points To Note Before Applying

GATE 2025: Today is last date to register for Gruate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Aspirants can apply online at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2025 registration began on August 28. Aspirants can register online at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates must remember following important points before applying for exam. 

GATE 2025: Important Points To Note

1. A valid GATE score can be used for seeking mission to Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities; and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities, in institutions supported by MoE and or Government agencies. Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using GATE score in ir recruitment process.

GATE 2025 Exam Pattern

2. GATE 2025 will have 30 test papers comprising full papers and sectional papers. test papers will be in English language in computer-based mode. duration of exam will be three hours. Candidates will have to appear for a general aptitude (GA) paper along with ir chosen subjects. 

3. re will be negative markings for wrong answers. For a wrong answer chosen in an MCQ, re will be a negative marking. For a 1-mark MCQ, a 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. For a 2-mark MCQ, a 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. re is no negative marking for wrong answer(s) to MSQ or NAT questions. re is no partial marking in MSQ.

Special Arrangements for PwD Candidates

4. PwD candidates with benchmark disability greater than 40% are eligible for compensatory time of one hour. PwD candidates with less than 40% disability and having difficulty in writing are eligible for compensatory time subject to production of certificates as required.

GATE Score For Scholarship 

5. Qualifying GATE score can be used for seeking financial assistance towards Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities; and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities, in institutions supported by MoE and or Government agencies.

Financial Assistance given to M.Tech students is Rs. 12,400 per month and is generally paid for 22 months. PG Scholarship (GATE/GPAT) Financial Assistance given for PhD programs (Direct PhD after B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc equivalent with a valid GATE score) is Rs. 37,000 per month for first two years and Rs. 42,000 per month from third to fifth year. (Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure Circular No. 33(14)PFC-II/2018 dated June 21, 2023.)

6. BSBE Dept., IIT Kanpur https://www.iitk.ac.in/bsbe/ will be mitting MTech students through GATE 2025 examination.

7. PSU : NPCIL will be using GATE 2025 results of CE, CH, EC, EE, IN, and ME test papers for recruitment.

This year, Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT ) Roorkee is organising institute for GATE 2025. last date to register with a late fee is October 7. IIT -Roorkee will conduct GATE 2025 on February 1, 2, 15, and 16.

GATE 2025 Exam

IIT Roorkee will conduct GATE 2025 exams between February 1 and 16 in two shifts:

Forenoon session: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (IST)
Afternoon session: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM (IST)

GATE 2025 Application Fee

Candidates will need to pay an application fee to finalize ir registration. fee structure is as follows:
SC/ST/PwD categories and female candidates: ₹900
All or candidates: ₹1,800.
