UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2024 Declared, Check IAS Prelims Selection List Here

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the much-awaited civil services preliminary exam results 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the UPSC CSE prelims result 2024 and the list of qualified candidates on the official website- upsc.gov.in. The exam was conducted on June 16, 2024. 

“On the basis of the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 held on 16/06/2024, the candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024,” the official notice reads.

How to check UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024

1. Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in
2. On the homepage, under ‘What’s New' Section, on the CSE-Prelims 2024 result link
3. A PDF file will open
4. Look for your roll number by pressing Ctrl+F keys on your keyboard and then entering your roll number
5. If you qualified the exam, your roll number will be highlighted in the PDF file. 

Candidates who clear the UPSC prelims exam are eligible to appear for the UPSC CSE main exam 2024. However, the qualified candidates will have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form or DAF-1 to appear for the main exam. The dates for the DAF application submission will be notified in the due course of time. 

“The candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. The dates and important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and its submission will be announced in due course on the website of the Commission,” the notice further reads. 

Candidates are also informed that marks, cut off marks and answer keys of CS (P) Examination, 2024 will be uploaded on the Commission’s website i.e. https://upsc.gov.in only after the entire process of the Civil Services Examination, 2024 is over i.e. after the declaration of final result. 

The Union Public Service Commission has a Facilitation Counter near the Examination Hall Building in its premises at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their result of the above mentioned Examination on all working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or on Tel. No. 011-23385271, 011-23098543 or 011-23381125 from the Facilitation Counter.
