Gujarat government asks schools to ban students from playing PUBG, says "it is adversely affecting their studies"

The Gujarat government on Tuesday issued a circular asking district authorities to ensure a ban on online multi-player game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, popularly called PUBG.

The state primary education department's circular was issued after a recommendation by the Gujarat State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, said officials.

The circular directed District Primary Education Officers to take the necessary steps to enforce a ban on the game in primary schools.

It said the ban was necessary as children were getting addicted to the game and it was "adversely affecting their studies".

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has recommended a ban on the game across the country, said Jagruti Pandya, chairperson of the Gujarat child rights body.

"The NCPCR had sent a letter to all the states and recommended a ban on the game. All the states are required to implement it," she added. 

Looking at the negative effects of the game, we had recently sent a letter to the state government recommending a ban on the game" said Pandya.

Meanwhile, PUBG players now have lots to cheer about considering the fact that there would be a new update as early as next week. Now, this update, a patch actually would hit test servers on PC mostly during the later half of this week.

As per renowned game tipster Slick PUBG, who through is new YouTube video has displayed what closely resembles a custom night mode. Slick PUBG also estimates this night mode-like feature to seed with the above update which PlayerUnknown recently hinted at through a tweet.

Also, Night Mode could also come to Vikendi; now, this has been a demand by PUBG players. Hence, the time period starting from now till the first week of February 2019 represents an apparent “most expected period” considering the fact that there could be multiple newer updates to Vikendi and PUBG in general. In this regard, PUBG players could share thoughts/insights on the new update that is slated to hit public test servers from next week and possibly coming to public live servers within the shortest time possible.
