"Hindi should not be imposed on anyone," says MNM chief Kamal Haasan opposing the Centre's three-language system for schools

Stirring yet another controversy, Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan, on Saturday, has said that 'Hindi should not be imposed on anyone'  in response to the Central government proposal to introduce a three-language system in schools while addressing the media.

Stirring yet ar controversy, Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan, on Saturday, has said that 'Hindi should t be imposed on anyone'  in response to Central government proposal to introduce a three-langu system in schools while dressing media.

Echoing similar sentiments, DMK leer T Siva too has said that imposition of Hindi in Tamil Nu will t be tolerated and y (DMK) were rey to face any consequences.

According to National Education Policy 2019, n-Hindi speaking States in India would include regional langu, English and Hindi, while parts where Hindi is spoken would have English and one of modern Indian langu in dition to Hindi.

policy furr states: ‘Students will be required to attain proficiency in discussing ir major in at least one Indian langu through an appropriate written project or presentation in that langu.’

While present Tamil Nu government has clarified that dual-langu method of education will continue in state, above policy which has been proposed by Central Government has faced severe backlash in Tamil Nu by all political parties.

dressing reporters outside Chennai airport, DMK leer and Thoothukudi MP Kanimozhi said, " DMK will oppose in Parliament if any langu, t just Hindi, is thrust upon us."
