IIM Bangalore Ranked Best In India, 41st Globally in QS Executive MBA Ranking 2024

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has secured the top rank in India and 41st spot globally in the 2024 QS Executive MBA Rankings.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has secured the top rank in India and 41st spot globally in the 2024 QS Executive MBA Ranking released on July 17 by Quacquarelli Symonds. This marks an improvement of two places from its 2023 ranking.

Following IIM Bangalore, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has been ranked second in India. However, ISB has seen a significant drop in its global position, falling from the 100th rank last year to the '101-110' range this year.

IIM Kozhikode and the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad have been ranked third and fourth in India, each placed in the '171-180' range globally. IIM Indore and Woxsen School of Business follow at the fifth and sixth positions in India, both within the '181+' global rank range.

Nunzio Quacquarelli, QS President and Chair, praised IIM Bangalore’s achievement, noting, "QS is thrilled to celebrate the success of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, which has been recognized as the home of India’s best Executive MBA program. This achievement highlights India’s growing prominence in executive business education, doubling its representation in the ranking year-on-year."

He further emphasized the importance of global diversity and career outcomes in executive MBA programs, which are crucial for fostering international professional networks.

On the global stage, Oxford (Said) Business School has ascended from third to first place, displacing last year’s leader, HEC Paris, which now ranks third. IESE Business School and MIT (Sloan) maintain their second and fourth positions respectively. London Business School has moved up from seventh to fifth place.

Penn (Wharton) has dropped from fifth to sixth place, while IE Business School has fallen from sixth to tenth. Northwestern (Kellogg) and Yale School of Management have made significant gains, moving up to seventh and eighth positions from 11th and 13th, respectively. INSEAD has slipped from eighth to ninth.

This year’s QS Executive MBA Rankings feature 194 top executive MBA programs from 45 countries and territories, reflecting the expanding global landscape of executive business education.
