'Integrate Marks of Classes 9 to 11 in Class 12th Board Results': NCERT Suggests New Marking Scheme

New Delhi: National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has proposed a new evaluation framework for Class 12 board exams, suggesting to integrate marks from Classes 9 to 11 into Class 12th final results. A report titled "Establishing Equivalence across Education Boards," suggests a cumulative assessment approach: 15 per cent of final score from Class 9, 20 per cent from Class 10, 25 per cent from Class 11 and remaining 40 per cent from Class 12. evaluation for Class 12 will be divided into formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments will include self-reflection, student portfolios, teacher evaluations, project work, and group discussions, while summative assessments will focus on tritional exams.
