'Working Overtime Not Allowed,' Says Canara Bank in Apprenticeship Notification For 3000 Vacancies

Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Canara Bank will open registration window for apprentice posts tomorrow, September 21. bank is offering 3000 vacancies for apprenticeships for gruates. In its detailed notification, bank has clearly stated that apprentices will not be allowed to work overtime. 

Amidst ongoing controversy over death of an EY Pune employee due to alleged ‘overtime and work stress' in office, followed by similar allegations of employees of or MNCs, bank has mentioned in its recruitment notification that apprentices will not be required or allowed to work overtime. 

Overtime Not Allowed!

Canara Bank has strictly notified that no apprentice shall be required or allowed to work overtime. official notification res, “No Apprentice shall be required or allowed to work overtime except with approval of Apprenticeship viser who shall not grant such approval unless he is satisfied that such overtime is in interest of training of Apprentice or public interest.”

Aspirants can register mselves online on official website- www.nats.education.gov.in. registered candidates will have to apply for vacancies on official website of bank at canarabank.com. last date to apply is October 4. Candidates with 100% complete profiles on Apprenticeship portal only are eligible to apply. No or means/mode of application will be accepted. 

Canara Bank Apprentice: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants having a gruate degree in any discipline from a government-recognised university or an equivalent qualification approved by central government of India can apply for posts. Candidates born between September 1, 1996, and September 1, 2004, can apply.

Stipend

A monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000/- (including subsidy amount, if any, by Govt. of India) shall be paid to apprentice during period of apprenticeship. Apprentices are not eligible for any or allowances/ benefits. Canara Bank will make a payment of 10,500/- into apprentices' account monthly. government share of a stipend of Rs 4500 will be directly credited to apprentices' Bank account through DBT mode as per extant guidelines.

Canara Bank Recruitment: Selection Process

merit list of candidates will be prepared State-wise in descending order based on marks/percentage obtained in 12th Std (HSC/10+2)/ Diploma Examination. In case more than one candidate has same percentage, such candidates will be ranked according to ir age in descending order of merit. 

Final selection will be based on verification of eligibility for training seat and information furnished in online application, qualification in test of local language for State opted and declared medically fit as per requirement of Bank.

Application Fees: fee for all candidates is Rs 500, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted. Applicants have to make online payments only.
