Jammu and Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a major recruitment drive, aiming to hire 4,002 constables. The enrollment process is set to begin on July 30, 2024, and will close on August 29, 2024. Aspiring candidates can apply through the official JKSSB website, jkssb.nic.in.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid domicile certificate issued by the competent authority is required.

Selection Process
The selection procedure comprises three stages:
1. Written Test: This will feature objective-type multiple-choice questions in English. Incorrect answers will incur a penalty of one-fourth of the marks allotted to each question.
2. Physical Standard Test

Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 700, with a reduced fee of Rs 600 for candidates from SC, ST-1, ST-2, and EWS categories. Payment can be made online via net banking, credit card, or debit card. Applications submitted without the required fee will be rejected.

Documentation and Examination Requirements
Candidates must provide their online application form, email ID, mobile number, name, date of birth, and the name of the examination in all communications with the Board. At the examination hall, candidates must bring a printout of the Admit Card/Roll Number Card/Slip, two recent passport-sized color photographs, and a valid original photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, School/College/University I-Card, or Employer ID Card).
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification with original documents and self-attested photocopies, including academic qualifications, birth certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate, and other relevant documents.
